This week I did three things I’ve never done before:
1. Referenced food without eating it.
2. Caught a terrible cold… in the summer.
3. Pranced around on top of a parking garage. Kinda seriously.
Safe to say it’s been one for the books! A little backstory on the whole mess: I’ve been going through an interview process with BCBGeneration for a position as a “Gensetter” this school year. For the final step, they sent me a piece from their collection and asked me to make a video showing how I would style it. How fun, right?! Well a day before I intended to shoot, I came down with a nasty cold. You can bet there was plenty of wheezing and nose-blowing involved behind the scenes, but I’m hoping you can’t tell in the finished product!
Without further ado, here is how I styled the Sheer-Panel Dress for wherever your tastebuds take you!
The first outfit is a pretty little number I’d throw on for brunch with my roommates.
I kept this look fun and casual by bringing out the dress’s cute pattern with a bright scarf,
Dress – BCBGeneration | Earrings – C. Wonder | Scarf – Zara Kid’s | Bracelets – Lily & Laura, Old Navy, Groopdealz | Clutch – The Pink Azalea | Shoes – DFW
What I love most about this dress is it’s versatility, so I couldn’t put together just one outfit! I created a second look with a formal lunch in mind,
using a darling coral jacket and a sparkly statement necklace to keep the ensemble spritzy while sophisticated.
The unique texture of the jacket provided a splash of intrigue,
and an oversized, neutral clutch took on the role of “fashionable backup singer”… {we’re just going to go with it}
I love that you can transition this to fall and winter with nothing but a pair of pumps. I’m thinking L.K. Bennet’s would do the job nicely.
But for a breezy summer’s day, simple nude sandals fit the bill perfectly.

I am finally feeling better, and just in the nick of time! This afternoon, my sister and I are flying to Houston with our fairy Godmother (y’all she’s real and very perfect) for a weekend of shopping and girliness. Yipee! Meanwhile, I’m wishing you a weekend full of sparkly things and completely lacking in runny noses!
Love, Kate
What fun summer outfits! And those gold accessories are perfect!
