I’ve received a few questions via email about wearing white jeans after Labor Day. Is it a do? A don’t?
My two cents? That’s totally up to you! Personally, I love wearing white all through fall and winter. If used correctly, white can bring a beautifully clean, crisp quality to any cold-weather ensemble.
If you’re going to take the plunge, make keeping the rest of your outfit as un-summery as possible your goal! Steer clear of sandals (even if it’s warm enough for them) and opt instead for riding boots or winter flats, like these! Layer up on top in warm colors and interesting textures, and you’re got the perfect recipe for a well-integrated white.
I used a few of these tips to pull together the inspiration board above. I’m in love with how the leopard pumps, pink sweater and cool grey accents create a perfectly chic while perfectly appropriate winter white combination.
Quick side note: It’s safe to say that you’re my new color obsession for the season, light grey. Where have you been all my life?

Light gray has been a favorite for so long! I think it looks so much better than black or other harsher colors on me since I’m so pale haha. Love this look and I totally agree that white is ok after Labor Day!

Oh I love the all-whiit longchamp bag! Never seen this one before, and they are such good bag!
Yes, yes, yes! Love white any time of year and this styling is perfection! Love that you even tied it into the sunnies!

I like charcoal gray over black in winter and cool gray in summer :)
I have those Sam Edelman heels! It would be super cute if paired with a pink sweater! Great picks, Kate, as always :)
