Merry Christmas Eve, y’all! It’s hard to believe this magical holiday is here. After all of the hustle and bustle involved in prepping, I’m sure you’re taking a big sigh of relief with me. We made it!
I’ve packed up and “moved” into my parent’s house for the holiday, and even though their house only a couple of minutes away from my apartment, there’s something about it that really does feel like coming home!
We’ll head to a Christmas Eve service this afternoon at the church I grew up in as a little girl and enjoy our annual tamale dinner afterward. (Does anyone else eat tamales for Christmas Eve dinner? I know it’s not just us!)
Then, my sister and I will open up a pair of matching pajamas from my parents, and get in bed to watch Eloise At Christmastime! This is one of our very favorite traditions. But I will say… the older we get, the quicker we fall asleep into the movie. And the longer we sleep in on Christmas morning… oops! :)
I’m going to keep this post rather short and sign off now so you can get back to whatever traditions today holds for you! I’d love to hear what Christmas Eve traditions you have in your family!
I look forward to seeing you here tomorrow so I can wish you a Merry Christmas and sign off for a week of vacation! I’ll fill you in on where I’m going and who with then.
Wishing you a wonderful evening filled with light!
“The saying is trustworthy and deserving of full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am the foremost. But I received mercy for this reason, that in me, as the foremost, Jesus Christ might display his perfect patience as an example to those who were to believe in him for eternal life.”
