MERRY, MERRY CHRISTMAS FRIENDS!

Wherever you are right now, I hope it’s cozy and warm, and that a big cup of coffee is involved!

When I was younger, I was up at ungodly hours of the morning just giddy in anticipation of what Santa brought and what my parents placed under the tree. Now, it’s the coffee and the incredible Christmas brunch my mother makes that gets me out of bed… and the thought of staying in my pj’s all day! No matter how old I get, there’s really nothing like Christmas morning.

This Christmas is especially sweet because it’s me and Andrews first Christmas as an engaged couple! Which means double the fun, right? I feel so thankful both of our families are celebrating in Dallas this year. It’s the best of both worlds getting to spend time with both. I know that’s a rare gift we won’t have every year in the future!

Now, if you’re anything like me, you will be in pjs all day. And speaking of pjs, I thought it would be fun to share a piece of loungewear I never thought I’d ever wear, but have been absolutely loving this past month… these jogger pants! This pair accompanied me to Vail a couple of weeks ago, and were my favorite thing to snuggle up in after a cold day in the mountains!

I haven’t reached the point where I feel comfortable wearing them in public, but for staying cozy inside the house, they’re the best. Now if I can just have that snowy landscape whenever I wear them as well! The view from my window this morning is much less of a winter wonderland (thank you, Dallas) but so is life in the South.

Before I close, I wanted to let y’all know that I will be signing off until the new year in order to soak in special time with family! And man am I excited. I take this “blog vacation” every year after Christmas, and having a full week away from the blog never fails to refresh, refuel and reinspire me for an incredible start to the new year!

I’ll back on January 3rd with a new “Wedding Wednesday” post, and let me just tell you that this is BY FAR my biggest update yet. You don’t want to miss it!

In the meantime, I’ll be heading to Little Rock, Arkansas to see all of my aunts/uncles and cousins, and then Andrew and I will be heading to Louisiana to see his side on the 29th! There’s nothing I love more than a good road trip, especially during the holidays. Needless to say, I’m so excited!

So until January 3rd, I’m wishing you the merriest Christmas and the happiest new year! Thank you all for being such a huge, special part of my 2018. I am already so excited about what we’ll experience in 2019 together!

Love from Texas,

Kate
