bachelorette weekend recap no. 3 // the poolside brunch

Yesterday, I mentioned that I would be sharing all of the Friday fun that the Lilly Pulitzer team planned for us. Hint hint… there was a poolside brunch involved, a make your own mojito bar, and even a watercolor cookie painting class!

I’m noticing a bit of a pattern here, y‘all. I set out to create a short, susinct blog post only to find I want to share every single detail with y‘all!

Needless to say, when I started putting together today’s post, I quickly realized I’d need to divide it up yet again. So today, instead of skating over all of Friday, let’s dive into the very beginning of our day… the poolside brunch!

After pizza, wine and lots of catching up on Thursday night, my bridesmaids and I hit the hay early. We knew we had a big day ahead, and wanted to be ready!

Sure enough, when we walked downstairs Friday morning, we were greeted by a massive, absolutely gorgeous breakfast spread from Black Bear Bread Co. We could have fed an army, y’all. White chocolate blueberry scones, chocolate croissants, bagels, cinnamon rolls… every treat you could dream of!

The Lilly Pulitzer girls (pictured above, right underneath the individual shots of all of my bridesmaids) had a fabulous playlist piping through the house and made sure a fresh mimosa was in every hand. We piled our plates, topped off our glasses, and headed out to the pool!

That’s when we saw the stunning floral balloon decor that Mingle 30A had installed while we were sleeping! Do those gorgeous colors not just take your breath away? If you’re ever planning an event on 30A, or are even just looking for some decoration inspiration, you have to check out their gorgeous, creative offerings here! They brought so much life to our party!

The funniest part of the morning, in my opinion, was when my sister, Steele, decided to climb aboard the pool float in her clothes. She is such a riot and had us all laughing so hard.

It wasn’t long before everyone changed out of their adorable brunch outfits into swimsuits and these matching coverups. The weather was too beautiful not to enjoy the pool! Let me just say, seeing all of my friends from different seasons of life having fun together was such a joy.

This poolside brunch was such a special start to our morning and the perfect way to kick off #KatesLastSplash! Plus, this would be such an easy event to recreate for your own bachelorette party or girls get together! All you need are a few favorite pastries, fresh juice, some champagne and sunny skies. Let me just say, being at One in a Vermillion doesn’t hurt either!

Can’t wait to be back tomorrow with the second activity of our Lilly Pulitzer-filled day… our make your own mojito bar!

Love from Texas,

Kate
