Ever since my family and I began taking our annual summer trip to Seaside, Florida, I’ve dreamed of owning a beach cruiser – the primary mode of transportation in that little beach town. Somehow, my sister and I would always get stuck with dark green or maroon ones, so every time I’d see a bike in pastel pedal by, the daydreaming and wishing would start all over again.

And then I got an email from Villy Custom. I think next few photos, full of all sorts of giddyness, speak for themselves…

The incredible team at Villy Custom invited me to design my dream bike using their custom bike builder… ok, did everyone else know that was a thing besides me?! What a dream. I had the most incredible time mixing and matching different paint colors, types of frames, and finishing touches before finally landing on the pink, beige and white beauty you see above. I kid you not, I made my family send in detailed opinions on which design to finally order. I can’t tell you how many fun creations I came up with!

Even more fun than creating the bike, however, was the moment I got to see it in person. I didn’t think it was possible… but the actual, physical bike was even more gorgeous than the computer generated one! Actually hopping on and riding the thing awakened my inner-kid. Total glee, y’all. As we head into cooler weather, I am already anticipating evening bike rides along the Katy Trail in the beautiful autumn air.
