Classic Trench Coat (similar to my Zara kids style) | Burberry Ombre Scarf (have you seen their new spring colors?) | Simple White Top | Tortoise Ray-Ban Aviators | LK Bennett Nude Heels (also available here) | Black Jeans (love this subtle destroyed pair) | Michael Kors Watch | Pearl Ring | Cross Bracelet | Teardrop Druzy Bracelet | Leather Belt | BEAUTY | Laura Mercier Radiant Primer & Tinted Moisterizer in Cameo | Anastasia Contour Kit | Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick in Pink Quartz | Maybelline Baby Lips | Lipgloss in Soft Pink Shimmer | Laura Mercier Loose Powder | Beauty Blender
Over the past few weeks, I’ve noticed myself gravitating more and more towards all neutral looks. As I’m typically always on a bright-color kick, this recent shift in color palette preference has been somewhat amusing but so fun to play with. What has surprised me most is the fact that I already have had plenty of neutral pieces in my wardrobe… it’s just that I’ve never really paired them together all at once. In fact, I bet if you peeked into your closet you’d find the same thing.
What’s even more surprising is just how easy it is to put together an “effortlessly classic but looks like I spent a ton of time on this” look. The kicker? A classic trench. I hadn’t purchased one until recently because I assumed they were a little too mature – oh how wrong was I! I’ve already gotten so much use out of mine (I’m wearing a Zara kids style), and can’t recommend one enough to pull you through the first frosty months of “spring.” Pair it with these pastel jeans or these fun heels (in my dreams) to brighten it up! And while this mellowed out phase is fitting for February, fear not… I’ll be back again soon with plenty of color to spare! Have you noticed any new fashion phases of your own as of late? I’d love to know!
