our wedding vendors

I learned so much from planning my wedding… one of those things being the importance of having an amazing team of wedding vendors! Today, I’m excited to share our roster of Dallas wedding vendors that made our wedding everything I dreamed, and more!

I can hardly believe I’m here… in my new home in Gainesville, Florida, with my new husband, a new last name, and almost one month into the best adventure ever… marriage!

This past month has been a whirlwind, to say the least. From marrying the love of my life to honeymooning in St. Lucia to packing up our life in Dallas and moving to a new home in Florida, it is surreal to finally be sitting at an actual desk, a cup of coffee in hand, soaking it all in! Ahh… I have been looking forward to this moment for so long, friends. Life is finally, dare I say it, settling down.

I have so much to update you on… but one of the most exciting things has been receiving my wedding photos! Eek! I have been waiting to share details from the wedding until their arrival, so ever since I’ve been planning and scheduling and laying everything wedding-related post out for y’all. Let’s just say there is so much coming your way soon! Here’s a sneak peek at the wedding-related posts you can expect to see coming up (in no particular order)…

introducing the lisi lerch lonestar southern bridal collection

Today is a big day, y’all. Not only are Andrew and I hitting the road and moving to Gainesville, Florida (sunshine state, here we come!), but a project I have been so excited about is finally LIVE! Without further ado, let me introduce you to the Lisi Lerch Lonestar Southern Bridal Collection!

I have been a Lisi Lerch fan for years now, falling early on for the bold yet classic, colorful and sophisticated pieces this line is known for. Needless to say, when they reached out to gage my interest in designing a pair of earrings for my bridesmaids to wear, I couldn’t contain my excitement!

Inspired by the well-known Lisi Lerch silhouette, I set out to design a pair of earrings that would make a timeless, tasteful statement for my twelve bridesmaids. I had a few different ideas, and as I began to sketch them out on paper… I realized a whole collection was coming to life!

Whether worn as a bride-to-be, a bridesmaid, a wedding guest or simply an accessory aficionado, my hope is that each style translates the joy, beauty, and femininity every bride embodies on her wedding day into a gorgeous accessory fit for any and every special occasion!

Now, let’s get to the photos. I’ve got so many more details below!

If you’ll allow me, I’d love to walk you through each design! Each was named after a special woman in my life.

The Martha

Named after my sweet maternal grandmother, I designed The Martha specifically for my bridesmaids. My grandmother suffers from Alzheimer’s and since she couldn’t join us, I loved being able to name these special earrings in honor of her.

My girls wore them in the color “Czech White” for a crisp, clean accent to their lovely pink dresses. The style looked utterly fabulous on each girl. I couldn’t stop smiling when I saw them all wearing them with their dresses!

The Mimi

“Mimi” is what we call my cute grandmother Martha, and it felt like the perfect name for this next style. I like to think of The Mimi as The Martha with an extra special touch, a beautiful stone at the top of the earring.

I especially love the larger pearl that graces the top of the earring in Czech White and Pearl. Such a fun, classic touch for you pearl-lovin’ ladies!

The Mahaffey

Wanting to create something a bit more striking, I designed The Mahaffey for the bride looking for a bit more of a statement! Let me tell you, I can’t stop wearing them.

Mahaffey, pronounced “mah-haf-ee,” is the maiden name of my paternal grandmother. She passed away before I was born, but I have grown up hearing about her marvelous, elegant fashion sense and felt like this was all too fitting for her.

The Madeley

While designing this collection, I couldn’t get over the gorgeous stone accent of The Mimi and found it to be just as striking with this style, The Madeley.

Madeley, pronounced “maid-l-ee”, was my middle name before I married Andrew, and is also the first name of my cousin! I have always loved it and was so sad to part with it, which is why I’m having it “live on” with this earring.

This style is extra special to me, as I wore it for my rehearsal dinner! The pearl accents were a stunning compliment to my white dress, which had pearls lining the back. I can’t wait to share more photos soon!

The Janie

Last but not least, I’m thrilled to share the final style of my Lonestar Southern Bridal Collection… The Janie. As many of you can probably guess, this earring was named after my wonderful mother!

I was inspired by all the beautiful floral we dreamed up during the wedding planning process in creating this fun drop earring, and love that it can be styled “up or down.” My sister actually wore it to the rehearsal dinner in the color Czech White! It’s a lightweight, versatile style I am absolutely smitten with.

I have to say, seeing and wearing these beautiful pieces after a few months of rough sketches drawn on the back of my planner, emails and samples is a true dream come true. It is such a treat getting to share these pieces with you, and I hope you enjoy wearing them every bit as much as I enjoyed incorporating them into this special season in my life!

You can view the entire Lonestar Southern Bridal Collection here!

I’m also delighted to share with you that Lisi Lerch always offers a discount of 20% to wedding parties of 5+. Simply email  info@lisilerch.com to place your special order!

Now, friends, I’m signing off to hit the road! Andrew and I are sad to leave Dallas, a city so near and dear to our hearts for so many reasons, but we are thrilled for the adventure ahead and can’t wait to see what the Lord has in store for us in Gainesville, Florida!

So, for the last time (for now at least)… I’m signing off as:

Love from Texas,

Kate

my bridesmaid gifts & matching pajamas

I’m waiting for our wedding photos to be delivered before I begin a full wedding deluge (thank y’all for being patient with me!), but I thought it would be fun to share a fun detail of Andrew’s and my big day… my bridesmaid gifts!

I’m waiting for our wedding photos to be delivered before I begin a full wedding deluge (thank y’all for being patient with me!), but I thought it would be fun to share a fun detail of Andrew’s and my big day… my bridesmaid gifts!

I knew I wanted a few special pieces to thank each of my girls for standing by me, and between the pretty pink pajamas, the monogrammed accessory cases and the pair of earrings I designed for them (more details below!) I absolutely love how the gifts turned out. Best yet, I think my girls did too!

Start scrolling for all of the fun! I’ll have the details below.

my bridesmaid gifts

The Pajamas

One of the most unexpectedly difficult “checklist” items during the wedding planning process was finding a pair of adorable pink pajamas for my bridesmaids to wear while we all got ready. I knew I wanted PJs instead of robes (I just find them easier to move around in!) and was hoping to find a set in the soft, baby pink I was doing my wedding in. It turned out to be quite the tall order, y’all! I must have ordered four or five different sets from everywhere from J.Crew to Old Navy, all to no avail.

After a few fruitless orders, I finally came across the Etsy store Silk and More during one of my crazed online searches, and remember thinking it was too good to be true… an adorable floral print that was available in tons of color options, a huge array of sizing options, an affordable price point and a delivery window that worked for my date? I was honestly skeptical, but placed the order for the “Notched Collar Style PJ” and crossed my fingers it came through!

And did it ever. Once the order was submitted, I filled out an online form with each bridesmaid’s name, size and… wait for it… height! Turns out, this Etsy store makes each pajama set not only according to size, but to height specifications as well.

A few days before my wedding, the pajamas arrived neatly packaged and as pretty as can be. Each set had a tag with one of my bridesmaid’s names on it… already labeled and ready to go!

I can’t tell you how excited I was opening these PJs. It felt like a huge risk since I’d never heard of this store and they ship from India, but they turned out even better than I had hoped and were one of the most affordable options I had found by far! All of my girls loved them… they were comfortable, cute, and not too skimpy like some sets can be. I even ordered a pair in a darker pink for my mother and mother in law as well. Let’s just say my mom and I can’t wait to order more! All in all, I would 1000% recommend.

If you’re curious, I chose the color “Dusty Pink” for my bridesmaids, “Watermelon Pink” for the mamas and “White” for myself! You can shop these wedding day pajamas here.

The Earrings

I’ve been keeping a secret, friends. A couple of months into wedding planning, I nearly dropped my phone when I read a certain email that had just come through. One of my all-time favorite earring lines, Lisi Lerch, wanted me to design a pair of earrings for my bridesmaids!

I knew I wanted to create a statement earring that was tasteful and elegant all at once. Something that, unlike a bridesmaid dress, my girls would enjoy wearing time and time again! After lots of ideas and a few different sketches, not only had I designed my dream pair of bridesmaid earrings, but I had accidentally created a collection. Oops!

I’m thrilled to let you know that in exactly one week, my Lisi Lerch bridal collection will be going live! I’ll be sharing more sneak peeks of the styles all this week, so stay tuned. :) This has been one of my most exciting and fun projects to date, and I can’t wait to share it with you!

The Accessory Cases

No matter the occasion, I’ve always felt there are few things more special than a monogrammed gift. Naturally, I turned to one of my all-time favorite brands, Barrington, for just the thing!

Y’all know I love all of their pieces but felt like the Highclere Accessory Case was the perfect way to present each girl with something personalized and useful. These pouches can be used for jewelry, makeup, catch-alls for a purse and so much more. Perfect for any girl on the go, in my opinion!

I filled each case with pink crinkle paper and laid the earrings right on top. It was so fun seeing each girl ooh and ahh over her case, only to unzip it and find yet another surprise!

Another fun element of this gift was getting to incorporate the “pink theme” yet again. I had so much fun playing around with all of the different color combinations (as I always do) and finally landed on a Blush Chambray background with a Rose-Geranium stripe. Let me just say, these handy little cases got rave reviews from all parties involved!

Well, y’all, there you have it! Putting together these gifts for each of my girls was such a fun and even therapeutic part of the wedding planning process. What’s better than shopping for your best friends? The Friday before my wedding, at my bridesmaids’ luncheon, I presented each girl with their gift. It was such a fun way to kick off the weekend!

My advice to putting together the perfect bridesmaid gift? Think “personal” and “practical” and at the end of the day, it truly is the thought that counts. That is what each bridesmaid will appreciate more than anything!

I can’t wait to share more wedding details with you soon! What are you dying to hear about next?!

Love from Texas,

Kate

recreating my favorite honeymoon outfit

While I wait for our wedding photos to come in (I can’t wait to share ALL of the fun, soon!) I thought it would be fun to reminisce on one of our very favorite nights of the honeymoon. After a day of fun in the sun, Andrew and I cleaned up for cocktails on the beach followed by dinner at the sushi bar!

EARRINGS baublebar flamingo statement earrings (also love this lobster style) | DRESS pink halter dress (sold out, from H&M) | WEDGES nude ankle strap wedges (sold out, from Steve Madden)

I am still pinching myself that the past two weeks have been real… from a whirlwind wedding weekend to a tropical honeymoon in St. Lucia to a crazy two days of flight cancellations to now, preparing for the move to Florida… it has been a wild ride with my new HUSBAND! I’ve never felt life moving faster, and I’ve never been happier!

St. Lucia had the most beautiful sunsets, and we loved our front row seat. Our resort, Sugar Beach, never felt overcrowded or stuffy… it was like we had the whole beach to ourselves that night!

If you saw the sneak peek IG story of me packing for my honeymoon, you saw all of the adorable Baublebar statement earrings I brought along with me! I’ve been a Baublebar fan for years, and feel so honored they asked me to be a Baublebar Partner! (Pinch me!) I have to say that their summer collection this year is the best I have ever seen. From raffia statements (I’ve been wearing this pair nonstop) to whimsical summer creatures (dying over these parrots), they’ve got the summer statement earring vibe DOWN.

My personal favorite are these adorable flamingo fantasia drop earrings. I have a mild flamingo obsession, and just about fainted when I saw these! They were a perfect fit with a bright pink dress and an equally vibrant cocktail I had that perfect night in St. Lucia. I’d give anything to go back to that evening and do it all over again!

Truly, friends, the Baublebar statement earrings this summer are not to be missed, and if you love fun statements like me, you need at least a pair or two! Here are the exact pairs I took on my honeymoon:
