5 spring finds under $60

I just had an amazing haul from one of my favorite affordable online destinations, all under $60, and wanted to share the loot with y’all before it sells out!

It happens this time every year. The days get a bit longer, the weather gets a bit warmer, and all of the sudden I feel like a new person… re-inspired, re-energized and alive! (Ok, maybe a bit dramatic, but you know what I mean?!)

Our front yard is blooming in all sorts of color, and the new arrivals I’ve been scoping out are taking the same cue. So many bright, happy pieces!

I just had an amazing haul from one of my favorite affordable online destinations, all under $60, and wanted to share the loot with y’all before it sells out!

And I hope you don’t mind… but I have been having so much fun with reels that I made another for this post. You’ll find it live on my Instagram shortly!

DRESS pink floral flounce dress (true to size, wearing S) | CLUTCH straw gold clutch | EARRINGS mother of pearl hoop earrings (old, similar here) | SHOES straw platform heels

Ok y’all. THIS DRESS. I need it in every color – and there are a few! It has the same look as the much more expensive Rhode style, but at a fraction of the price point. Perfect for baby showers, wedding showers, Easter, vacations, and literally everything else you have going on. Such a fabulous find!

TOP blue and white floral puff sleeve blouse (true to size, wearing S) | JEANS white crop flare jeans (run slightly small, wearing normal size 25Petite) | EARRINGS mother of pearl hoop earrings (old, similar here) | SHOES platform superga sneakers | BAG straw woven bag (old, similar here)

Perhaps my favorite under $50 top I’ve ever found, this romantic piece is a must! The product photos seem to translate just how cute it is better than the ones I took. Trust me, it’s gorgeous and looks much more expensive than it is!

DRESS blue midi dress (runs large, wearing normal size S) | SHOES white platform wedges (old, similar here) | EARRINGS white beaded statement earrings (old, similar here) | BRACELETS allie + bess bracelets

I could live in easy, breezy dresses like this, and I love how simple and sweet this one is! Keep in mind, it definitely runs big. (The armholes are a bit too long on me.) But it would be the perfect piece for wearing to dinner or over a sundress!

TOP gingham off the shoulder top (can be worn on the shoulder, runs true to siize, wearing size S) | JEANS white crop flare jeans (run slightly small, wearing normal size 25Petite) | EARRINGS white floral earrings

How sweet is this gingham off-the-shoulder blouse?! It can be worn on the shoulder or off and is so easy and chic due to it’s the neutral color palette. Love, love, love!

DRESS blue floral dress (true to size, wearing S) | CLUTCH croissant clutch | SHOES white booties (old, similar here) | EARRINGS white floral earrings

There is so much to love about this sweet little dress. The color is gorgeous and the fit is perfectly easy and flattering. Plus, I love that you can wear it with everything from sandals to sneakers to wedges.

I hope y’all enjoy this little roundup, as well as the new reels kick I’m on! Haha. :) It really has been so much fun, so thanks for indulging me!

Love from the Sunshine State,

Kate

the caitlin covington x pink lily collection

Today is such an exciting day! The first blogger I ever followed (and more importantly one of the kindest and most genuine ladies in this industry) Caitlin Covington has released the most adorable collection of affordable and size-inclusive resort-wear with Pink Lily! I’m so excited to share my favorites from the caitlin covington x pink lily collection with you today!

Today is such an exciting day! The first blogger I ever followed (and more importantly one of the kindest and most genuine ladies in this industry) Caitlin Covington has released the most adorable collection of affordable and size-inclusive resort-wear with Pink Lily! She was sweet enough to send me a little preview of all the goodness, and I’m so excited to share my favorites from the caitlin covington x pink lily collection with you today!

The collection goes live to everyone at 9am CST, but those with early access can shop it here!

I know it’s helpful to see pieces on different shapes and sizes, so here’s a look at a few favorites on my 5’2″ self. I am wearing an XS in everything, and will make a note on sizing below each photo!

Don’t forget to use the code CAITLIN for 20% off the collection!

the capri

open shoulder open back swimsuit

I am in love with this one-piece swimsuit. The one shoulder bow detailing makes it look so expensive… but it’s under $50! You tie the shoulder by yourself, so you can wear it as a bow or with a simple knot. Best yet, it also comes in black. I’m wearing an XS here and the fit is great. If you have a longer torso, I’d go up a size!

the santorini

striped blue and white maxi dress

the caitlin covington x pink liiy collection

Blue and white lovers, this one is for you! This gorgeous maxi dress has the cutest smocked top and tiered skirt. It feels so high quality and is completely lined, yet is under $100! A tip on sizing: I’m wearing an XS here, but found that the first tier ruffle sat a little too tight across my rear. If you have some junk in the trunk (said lovingly – I do!) then I’d go up a size!

the miami

square neck polka dot belted swimsuit

the caitlin covington x pink liiy collection

It’s hard to play favorites, but I think this belted one-piece just might be it. Y’all… I can’t get over how adorable this is with a price point of $48! The belt comes with the swimsuit but is removable so you can wear it with other outfits as well! (Honestly, if I wasn’t in love with the swimsuit I’d buy it just for the belt!) I’m wearing an XS here but think it runs small. Would definitely go up a size!

the capri

lemon print midi dress

the caitlin covington x pink liiy collection

Lemon print, ruffles and bow-backs oh my! This sweet midi dress is full of charming details, from the flutter sleeves to the bow tie on the back. It is a lower cut, so keep that in mind! The fabric is so silky and smooth and really looks beautiful on. Such a cheery, happy piece!

the bermuda

one shoulder striped swimsuit

the caitlin covington x pink liiy collection

Could not be more obsessed with this adorable, modest striped two piece! The bottoms are full coverage and the fit on the top is just so fun. Plus, it also comes in pink! *adds to cart. The XS top fit me perfectly and while the XS bottoms work, I think I’d size up for a bit more room. (I usually wear an XS in swim tops and a S in bottoms.) This one is a must-have!

A huge congratulations to Caitlin for launching such an amazing collection! I really think it covers all the bases in terms of sizing, price points and cuteness-factor. Can we get some more of it, please?!

I hope you enjoy shopping the collection, which you’ll find here! Anyone else suddenly in the mood for a tropical vacation?!

Love from the Sunshine State,

Kate

a luxurious lace bridal robe

Recently, the designer of my wedding dress, Sareh Nouri, introduced me to her new collection of lace bridal robes. The small, exquisite collection consists of four heirloom-quality pieces… each beautiful and unique in their own way!

It’s been quite a while since my latest wedding-related post. I guess that’s what happens when you’re nearly two years into marriage! :) But what has been so fun to see is that many of you still have this adventure (if it’s one you choose to embark on) ahead of you. I’ve received many messages recently asking for wedding inspiration in various forms, and thought it would be fun to share some with you today!

Recently, the designer of my wedding dress, Sareh Nouri, introduced me to her new collection of lace bridal robes. The small, exquisite collection consists of four heirloom-quality pieces… each beautiful and unique in their own way! The Sarabeth Robe especially caught my eye. Kate Middleton vibes, anyone?

While you certainly do not need an expensive robe to make your day any more special or meaningful (my bridesmaids and I got ready in pjs from Etsy, after all!) these Sareh Nouri robes are a beautiful option if you’re looking for a piece to last a lifetime, and perhaps even pass down throughout your family! They also make for some gorgeous, romantic photographs.

If you’re someone who has missed Wedding Wednesday posts, do let me know what you’d like to see in the comments below. I’ve been receiving lots of requests for a white dress roundup, so that is definitely in the works!

Thank you, Sareh Nouri, for such an exquisite piece!

the amazon find love list // vol. 1

Over the past few months, I’ve been sprinkling Amazon finds in here and there. (Remember these amazing slippers and this life-changing headband organizer?) I have had so much fun scouting out the best budget-friendly buys, and thought I’d start something new today: my amazon find love list.

Over the past few months, I’ve been sprinkling Amazon finds in here and there. (Remember these amazing slippers and this life-changing headband organizer?) I have had so much fun scouting out the best budget-friendly buys, and thought I’d start something new today: my amazon find love list.

Rather than a single product-feature, these love lists will round up an assortment of my personal favorite purchases. I personally love scrolling through these types of posts, and hope you enjoy them as well!

So without further ado, here you are!

scalloped top

I wore this top on Instagram Stories this past weekend, and received so many requests for a link! This cute cropped scalloped top is the perfect compliment to your high-waisted leggings. It comes in a bunch of colors and is right under $20! I’d recommend you’re usual size. I’m in an XS!

heart rate monitor

After our Peloton heart rate monitor stopped working (which I’ve heard is pretty common, ugh) I decided to see if I could find an affordable replacement. These monitors are under $50, are worn on your arm and connect to Peloton and most other apps via bluetooth.

rechargeable lighter

I’ve got two words for you: GAME CHANGER. This rechargeable electric lighter has quickly become Andrew’s and my favorite household gadget! Plus, it has a bendable head for hard-to-reach candles. Comes in other colors and is a serious must have.

tennis skirt

It’s officially tennis skirt weather (at least here in Florida) and I am loving this under $20 one! It’s super soft, super cute, and fits true to size. (I ordered an XS for rerference.) Definitely wanting to order it in more colors now! Just be careful on the product page… there are a few different styles listed..

pink disposable masks

Admittedly, masks are by no means the favorite part of my outfit. But, it’s funny what this pink disposable mask set has done for my mood! I love the disposable convenience (just remember to cut your straps before tossing them) and the color makes them feel a bit more fun than the usual. I always get compliments on them, too!

lightweight sweater

This pale blue sweater is the perfect piece for early-spring, especially living in Florida, as it’s incredibly lightweight. I love the color and the classic silhouette. Pro tip – order a couple sizes up from your usual top size for a perfectly relaxed look. (I am usually an XS and ordered a M.) I also fold down top half of the neck for a less-turtlenecky look.

popcorn maker bowl

This is not a want, but a NEED, y’all. I purchased this microwave popping bowl around Christmas, and have been using it non-stop ever since. Just put a couple of tablespoons of coconut oil and a couple of tablespoons of kernels into the bowl, throw into the microwave for 2-3 minutes, and voila! Perfectly delicious, homemade popcorn. I ordered a few cheaper versions to see if they were comparable but they’re not. This $20 one is the way to go!

So many good ones, right?! They all get my full stamp of approval, and I’m already excited to share the next amazon find love list with you!

Wishing everyone a happy Tuesday! It’s been a few days, as I unplugged to soak up time with my family, and I’m so happy to be back in my favorite corner of the internet with y’all. Here’s to a great week ahead!

pink on pink

With each passing year, I become more and more convinced of this: no matter what is “in style,” wear what makes you happy. It’s by no means a groundbreaking or even original thought, but nevertheless, one that is so important to remember especially in today’s world of instant access to “what everyone else is doing” and all-too-easy comparison.

I’ve been thinking a lot about this “anti-Millenial” style push brought about by TikTok. (Which, by the way, is an app I’m still not on and honestly feel a lot of freedom in that, haha!) If you have no idea what I’m talking about, here it is in a nutshell: a couple of weeks ago a group of teens decided that side-parts and skinny jeans were decidedly out. It meant you were old, irrelevant, and definitely not fashionable. And the internet freaked out.

When I first heard about it, I laughed to myself. After all, my side part is as deep as the Mississippi River and you’ve never seen a more expansive skinny jean collection than mine. But what surprised me was how seriously people everywhere were starting to take it. I even got a few messages to the tune of… “Can I really not wear my skinny jeans anymore? Do I have to try a side-part now?!”

I know this Millenial style diss is nothing more than a quick internet fad, but I’m honestly sad at the wave it made. Because, quite frankly, I don’t care one bit about what teenagers think of my side part or skinny jeans. And neither should you!

I can’t tell you the number of times I’ve looked around a room and heard that little voice pop into my head telling me I definitely didn’t fit in. Too much color. Too preppy. Too this or that… the list goes on. But after being raised to understand it’s ok not to fit in and, if we’re honest, spending plenty of awkward teenage years experiencing how draining it is to try to fit the mold, I’ve finally mastered the art of telling that little voice to go away. And that has been so freeing!

The beauty of those years spent feeling out of place is they paved the way to the job I get to do now… blogging! After all, I felt a bit too “preppy” for my college environment and wanted a space to share that. Now, I get to share what I love even when it’s not everyone’s cup of tea.

All this rambling to say, I really hate to see any trend that pressures everyone to look alike, dress alike, style their hair alike, etc. You’re telling me we all need to have the same hair and the same pair of jeans, now, in order to be in-style? I don’t know about you, but for a young and upcoming generation, that seems like a very old-fashioned view.

What if instead of fretting if our part was too deep, we modeled the confidence and happiness that comes from being ourselves to a world and society that will always be telling us we’re missing the mark and don’t fit in. I don’t want to spoil it for the Gen Zers out there, but I can’t wait for them to hopefully experience that same freedom a few years down the road when they find themselves in the same boat we’re in. :)

I don’t mean to rag on the youngins. If middle parts and baggy jeans make them feel good, then I’m all for them! I just want to be one voice that reminds you to wear what makes you happy, no matter what anyone else thinks. And while you’re rocking it, I’ll be over here in my head-to-toe pink ensemble cheering you on!

Love from skinny jeans and side-part loving,

Kate
