my first podcast // join me live!

I have such fun news to share with you today, friends! And let me start off by saying this… no, I’m not starting a podcast. But I am joining my friend Rachel to celebrate the 100th episode of her wonderful show, Behind the Bliss, and you can join me virtually for the live recording this Tuesday, May 19th! This is my first ever podcast to be a part of, and I’m so excited and completely honored to be a part of this celebration!

behind the bliss podcast feature

I’ll be the first to admit I’m not a huge podcast listener, but whenever I take Flynn on a walk I always listen to the latest Behind the Bliss episode. The premise of the show is finding the realness and not-so-picture-perfect things behind the bliss in our lives, so that you can feel “met in your mess.” This puts it so perfectly:

“The heartbeat of Behind the Bliss is to create a space for women to share stories and the reality of what life is really like behind the bliss. We seek to show women there is more to life than what we see on each other’s highlight reels and there is power in vulnerability and sharing the hard parts with the pretty parts of our life.”

In this day and age, isn’t that something we could all use a bit more of?

Rachel is just the best, and I think when you spend a few days following her you’ll know what I mean. Her love for the Lord shines in everything she does, from sharing encouragement and getting vulnerable on her Instagram and podcast to chatting about fun life-hacks and favorites.

Her Instagram account and podcast always leave me feeling refreshed, not alone, and redirected in my focus on the Lord smack in the middle of the world of social media. I actively seek out her posts and stories… life-giving, salt and light, a city on a hill… she is it through and through, and I love being able to wholeheartedly recommend her to you!

Anyways.. enough of my gushing! Here are the details on the 100th episode celebration!

Awesome! I am so glad you are doing this! You have such a gift for sharing the living Word of God with people. I really liked how you actually demonstrated how to meditate in the Word (“Lectio Divina”) to your viewers in the videos you made. I know it took some time and preparation but they were excellent videos and I hope you do more (not just for me but for the people who didn’t have the faith passed down to them or have fallen away.) You shared Holy Scripture and encouraged people, and at the same time you showed people who may be new to the faith how anyone can read the Bible as the living Word of God that it is.
