I love Valentine’s Day. It’s fun to hate on when you’re single, but even without a boy in the picture I find the excuse to buy (myself) candy, to dress in pink, to decorate in all things glitter and hearts, and to watch Nicholas Spark movie after Nicholas Spark movie wonderfully, terribly, irresistibly fun. I was always the only person in my family to share that view (my sister desperately tries to keep me grounded when it comes to anything cheesy… I’m a bit of a romantic) but that never fizzled out my enthusiasm. Me + Valentines Day = TIGHT.
As it’s only a couple weeks away, I felt it appropriate to put together a little inspiration board of some of my favorite box-o’-chocolate-worthy frocks, in shades non-other than pink and red! While it’s fun to hone in on these two pallets during February, I always end up gravitating towards a deep red or punchy pink on cocktail dresses all year round. There’s something about wearing Barbie pink or knockout red… I think it ups your chances of having fun by a good 150%.
You may notice that a good number of the dresses below are from Revolve! When it comes to beautiful, unique, on-point cocktail dresses, Revolve is my favorite site to buy from. No sponsorship here, just wanted to share my own two cents for those of you on the hunt for a dress for homecoming/weddings/formals, etc. The selection is huge and never leaves me hanging. I also found a few pieces for under $100… incredible steals that you’ll find marked with a pink heart.
