It was a spookkyyy Halloween, y’all.
Scratch that. I couldn’t stop laughing anytime I caught a glimpse of Andrew or myself in the mirror. Our friends decided to dress up as Harry Potter characters for Halloween this year, so naturally, Andrew and I took that and ran with it all. the. way.
Meet Professor Umbridge and Draco Malfoy. The couple you never saw coming!

The best part? We sourced nearly everything from Amazon for costumes that didn’t break the budget! If you’re looking to recreate our Professor Umbridge and Draco Malfoy costume, here are the pieces we used:
Professor Umbridge
DRESS and HAT // SWEATER // WAND // SHOES (zara, similar linked) // EARRINGS // WIG
Draco Malfoy
CLOAK // IRON ON SLYTHERIN PATCH // TIE // HAIR GEL (no idea!:)
We had too much fun with these not-so-nice characters. I made sure to nail my toes-out stance and Andrew perfected his disgust-filled “Potter!” And yes, we talked in British accents all night. Did you even need to ask?!
Here are a few other Hogwarts residents we ran into…

This was a Halloween for the books. Dying to hear what you dressed up as!

Love that they completely forgot that she isn’t supposed to be even born in fantastic beasts. Totally coherent pixel speedrun story.
I learned that in four colors, sometimes staying calm and not rushing is the key to winning.
The first one the mannequin that’s what I were to school today, and embark on Geometry Dash
Car upgrades empower racers to rise above danger survival race.
Mmmm…these are more like harry potter school The Freak Circus outfits rather than harry potter Halloween costumes.
The Amazon-first checklist looks like the more repeatable choice here: separating the dress, wand, shoes, and wig makes a last-minute Professor Umbridge costume easier to audit than relying on one complete set. I use a similar routine with Pips Hint daily NYT Pips puzzles, working through progressive hints before checking a full solution. If each step preserves the fun, the checklist wins.
I once put together a last-minute costume from a dress, hat, wand, and shoes, and the checklist was what kept the final look from feeling improvised. That same step-by-step approach works for a daily logic puzzle too, as long as a hint clarifies the next move without revealing the whole answer.
