And with that, I forced him out onto the porch and told him to strike a pose. What better gift could a grown man ask for than a photo shoot? You can bet he tried to get out of it, but in the end he let me take a few painless photos because he’s the most wonderful father in the world and always indulges me in my absurdity

His typical church attire: khakis, a Southern Tide or Ralph Lauren button down, and cowboy boots.
He happened to be holding his favorite coffee cup, and I’m laughing at what a perfect depiction this is of him. A great great great great (etc…) grandfather of his once said this quote, and my father loves it. Have you caught on to the fact that we have a little bit of Texas pride?
