Devon Maryn yoga pants | Long Sleeved Running Top (half the price of the Lululemon version I’ve had my eye on!) | Pink sports bra | Tennis Shoes (old, love this pair that’s on major sale) | Pink headband | Pearl studs (the only jewelry I wear working out) | Steal My Girl – the song I’ve had on repeat on runs lately!
Fun fact about Kate? I abhor (yes, abhor) the thought of working out. Ask my friends. The thought of putting on my tennis shoes for a run is enough to send me into hysterics. Fine, maybe I’m stretching it, but it’s just never been my thing. Can we all agree, though, how amazing you feel after forcing (if you’re like me) yourself to get up and move? I really hate admitting it, but there’s nothing like the exhausted, relaxed feeling that follows a good, hard workout. That’s why I’m always on the lookout for little incentives to inspire me to get moving. The best tool I’ve found so far? Cute workout clothes! Enter Devon Maryn designs.
Y’all, to say her line is darling would be an understatement. Once in a blue moon I’ll happen across workout gear that I don’t mind, but I’ve never come across anything as bright, preppy, and completely workout-inducing as her creations. As orange and pink happens to be my favorite color combo ever, I immediately fell in love with the chevron yoga capris. I also thought this navy and pink striped pair was darling, and I’m dying to get my hands on these houndstooth shorts. Crossing my fingers that the more workout clothes I own, the more fit I’ll automatically become. Is that how it works?
An extra two cents – if you shudder at the thought of running, like yours truly, you should check out the app “Run 5k.” I’ve been using it since my junior year of high school, and can honestly say if it can get me up to running 3 miles, it can get anyone up to running 3 miles. Over two months, the app gives you interval runs (with cues mid-run) to gradually build up your endurance until you can run for 30 minutes straight. It’s kinda like a miracle, in my opinion. Maybe we can start a virtual running club? I know I need to be held accountable!
Love from Texas,
Kate
P.S. I have a giveaway you are not going to want to miss coming up this week. Stay tuned! :)
P. P. S. So Nordstrom is having their clearance sale, and I’m warning you it’s deadly. Way deadly. This red wool coat and red Tory Burch cross body are calling my name. Getting major anxiety – everything’s going so fast! Ahh!
Hey Kate! I miss your videos. :) And if you’re starting a virtual running club, I’m definitely in! :)
I’m totally in love with Devon Maryn, too! Are the leggings more like yoga pant material or the slicker running legging material? Thanks, Kate!
Hi Maura,
Typically I think of most running leggings as being a thin, slick fabric, and yoga pants as being thicker and more cotton-y. Our yoga capris are sort of a blend of both: the material is thicker & more supportive, but also has a bit of a slickness & sheen to it. I hope this didn’t confuse you more! :-)
I just discovered your blog and must say I absolutely adore you! And count me in for the virtual running club – I just got back into it and love the app! xoxo
Absolutely LOVE your yoga pants! Cute work out clothes definitely make it easier to work out :) your yoga pants would look great with some Hemlets. (Cute cuffs that go on the bottom of your leggings)

You’re so cute!

I would totally do a virtual running club that started off on this pace! Let’s do it!
Absolutely love this look- those running leggings are so cute! And I HATE working out too! I try to stay active by playing tennis or doing zumba so I’m having fun- but sometimes I have to force myself to run just to get a workout in. A stylish workout outfit would definitely help with that! :)
