Where the Heart Is

“Home is where the heart is.”

For 18 years of my life, home has been in Dallas. I’ve visited, toured, and explored so many places outside of the big D, and have even fallen in love with a few (Charlotte, Seaside, Manhattan Beach) but nothing feels as right as home.

I think that’s one of the reasons I adore this Swoozies necklace so much.  I love the sweet reminder of memories made where the little heart is placed. And now that I’m a few hours away from home, I’ve come to cherish this little trinket all the more. (Any guesses as to what I’ll be gifting my girl friends this Christmas?:)

I loved the subtle statement it made with my favorite white tshirt and jeans.

It’s only been over these past couple of weeks that the weather has finally allowed for riding boots, so I was a little too excited to finally put mine to use. You East coast girlies have had me chomping at the bit to bring out mine for over a month now!

While I won’t be breaking out snow boots anytime soon (…or ever, for that matter) I’m quite content with scarves, jeans, and cranking up the AC for the next few weeks.

I’m also quite content thrilled with the fact that the boy stepped in as photographer this weekend. (I personally think he needs to throw on some JCrew and Tory and post an #ootd. This kid has got the look, y’all.)

Squeal!  Isn’t he the handsomest? I got to spend this past weekend in Ft. Worth celebrating our 2 year anniversary, and I can’t WAIT to spill all about it and everything else that’s been going on lately. So stay tuned, we’re due for another Coffee Date soon!

If your schedule has been as crazy as mine these past few weeks, I hope that you’ve been getting some rest and enjoying some time outdoors! I know I’ve loved taking a few minutes to relax with hot coffee and Jesus Calling in the gorgeous weather this week. What are your favorite things to do to recharge? I’d love to hear!

As always, lots and lots of love from Texas!
