SWEATER   waffle knit cardigan (wearing an XS)   |   SHOES   western heeled booties   |   SHIRT   grey thermal top   |   JEANS   distressed skinny jeans   |   BAG   reversible tote

I have been collecting long cardigans like crazy lately. Why? I’ve found that they make the perfect outer layer for this Texas winter we’ve been having! Simply throw on over an easy blouse, jeans and booties when temperatures drop and you’re set.

After immediately getting such great use out of this pink number (seen here), I knew more would only be a good thing when I spotted this cozy, waffle-knit style. Oh friends. It is just the softest thing. Plus, it manages to make the world’s easiest outfit look oh-so-chic! I wore this look for a day of desk work and errands last week, and can already tell it will be on serious rotation.

Once you find something comfortable and cute, isn’t it so hard to switch things up? When that cold weather comes in, I find myself reverting to cozy favorites like this, and I’m not too mad about it! :)

Also… this cardigan would make a great gift. Since it’s so roomy and relaxed, choosing a size for a friend or family member isn’t too tricky. (I’m in an XS.) Plus, it’s an item that will get lots of use, especially if gifted in a neutral color. Just a thought!

Love from Texas,

Kate
