psalms of rest // video replays

Without a doubt, spending five days going through Psalms with you all was one of my favorite moments here on Lonestar Southern! These beautiful verses encouraged my heart so deeply during this crazy time, reminding us of the endless love and faithfulness of the Lord, and I hope they did the same for you. Even if it’s not what you personally believe, I want to extend a big, big thank you for letting me share some of my heart!

As promised, I wanted to share the recordings of our Instagram Lives in the event you missed them and wanted to re-watch. I was hoping Instagram would let me share these directly to my highlights, but unfortunately, that wasn’t an option. So, I’ve uploaded them to my YouTube channel, and you’ll find them below!

You may notice Day 1 is missing. Technology, y’all. I thought I had pressed the save icon for that day, but apparently did not. I am so sorry about that!

Without further ado, here are Day 2, Day 3, Day 4 and Day 5 of the Psalms of Rest study, which you can find here!

day two

day three

day four

day five

I miss our daily lunchtime hangouts, and hope that even though we aren’t doing it all together, you’re continuing to enjoy getting into the Word each day. Don’t forget, there are so many more great studies available on SheReadsTruth.com.

If you had any takeaways from this study, I’d absolutely love for you to share them in the comments below! I know they’ll be an encouragement to everyone.

Love from the Sunshine State,

Kate

I absolutely loved doing this study!! As I’ve mentioned before I was trying to do other options and nothing was sticking for me like this did! This one truly clicked, in all respects – the study, the Psalms, and the connection of a true virtual study. Thank you again for doing this!! Personally, I would love if another study could be done like this as well – I know it may be a lot on your end but just know it was greatly appreciated! (and would be again!)💗💗

Just listened to Day 2. You did such a good job with this, a beautiful welcoming approach and the length is great, brief but powerful. I hope you will continue to do this at least once a week going forward. God has blessed you as one of His “influencers” using IG, etc! (But also YouTube for us non IG people.) Speaking of Psalms that are sung, here are some of the chanted Psalm CDs I Iisten to: Chant II (Santo Domingo de Silos); Chant From the Hermitage (John Michael Talbot); and Gregorian Chant Melodies from the Monastic Choir of St Peter’s Abbey, Solesmes, France. This last one from Solesmes, France is considered the creme de le creme of Christian chant. They have several CDs for different seasons of the liturgical year. They are all very ancient chanted Psalms, Canticles, and Christian prayer from what you would refer to as the Early Church. It’s constant hourly prayer, praising God, staying in the Word, and it benefits the whole world.

Lonestar, if you want a CD that is 99% Psalms, the Chant From the Hermitage (John Michael Talbot) is the best. He has several other CDs as well and I think you can download some of these recordings free too.

I too am a “thank you so”…I am not on IG and gratefully, still working during the day so the easy way to find this study was from your blog, when I can get to it. Thease post(s) are much appreciated. I desperately need the truth found in His Word.
    Thank you.
