Merry merry merryyy Christmas, everyone! After all the hustle and bustle of the season, it’s finally here. My family and I love being festive and getting dolled up for the Christmas Eve church service each year (the dress I’m wearing in this post made the cut yesterday, it’s my absolute favorite for special occasions!), but you’ll find us in our pjs all day long today! Speaking of pjs, every Christmas Eve my parents surprise my sister and I with a new pair of pajamas. We’ve compiled quite the collection and have many favorites, but this year took the cake, y’all… they got us J.Crew onesies! AH! And the most comfortable slippers ever created. Look out UT, I’ll be wearing ’em to class all of spring semester! I kid. Kinda…

But back to Christmas. I hope you have the most wonderful, beautiful day surrounded by those you love. I’m not sure if Christmas is a once-a-year celebration for you, or if the glory of it lives in your heart every day, but I pray you and I never lose the wonder of what took place to ignite such celebration. If you are unfamiliar with the story of Christ, or perhaps all too familiar, so much so that it holds no appeal to you, I want to take a second to encourage you. Because the story of Christmas doesn’t end with a baby in a manger. The story of Christmas – the story of Christ – took place for you. Now that the presents have been unwrapped and you’re camped out on the couch, take a few minutes to browse through a few of these videos. They never cease to encourage me, and I know they’ll do the same for you.

Alrighty, off my soap box. :) Now go get to work on your sugar coma!

Love from Texas,

Kate
