Let me start off with a quick fun fact… I’m writing this aboard the Royal Caribbean “Navigator of the Seas!” Can’t say that every day, can you?? I’ve been at sea this entire week and oh my goodness has it been fun! I’ve been documenting the adventure on my snapchat (@lonestarsnaps) as well as Instagram, and hope you’ve been enjoying the journey!
Having never been on a cruise before, I set out to pack up a suite case worthy of all of the festivity and fanfare I’ve always heard associated with cruising. A look I knew I just had to bring along? Timeless resort wear.
I knew this skort (aka best thing ever) by Lilly Pulitzer fit the bill perfectly the second I saw it – nautical print + scalloped edging? Sold! Tied up with a classic, light weight white button down and some monogrammed Jack Rogers, you’ve got yourself a casual and completely iconic summer ensemble. And, of course, I couldn’t forget to top it off with an oversized beach hat. I’ve been wearing this one the whole trip, and have absolutely loved it. If you’re on the looking for a summer hat, look no further!
Today, we land in Falmouth, Jamaica, and have a day of horseback riding (into the ocean!!!) lined up. Then two more days of sailing before docking back at Galveston, Texas! I’m already hoping the week slows down, it’s been flying by. I’m so excited to share more of my cruising attire with you, so stay tuned for another post tomorrow. Speaking of, get your hands on this pom pom romper while you still can. If you’ve been following on Instagram, you’ve already seen a sneak peek!
Love from Texas,
P.S. Speaking of Lilly, did you see the new 2015-2016 agendas have been released? I’m leaning towards the large Scuba to Cuba! Have you picked yours out yet? I’d love to hear which is your favorite!
