The fourth of July.
Parade.
It’s as if you can’t say one without at least thinking of the other. I know my family’s summerly schedule certainly wouldn’t be complete without both. Our town’s parade is a yearly highlight of mine, and I’m so excited to show you why!

We all get up early, throw on red, white, and blue, and take off in my dad‘s favorite toy: his ’78 CJ5. (Which to me just means a cute jeep in bright yellow and blue.)

As you can tell from my smorgasbord of pictures, there was a LOT to love at the parade this year. While Dallas isn’t known for “small town charm,” this little parade certainly showcased some of it’s finer attributes – friendliness, creativity, and community comradery. I hope everyone had a lovely day celebrating our wonderful country!
Love, Kate
Oh my goodness the dogs! Too cute! I love the parade pictures too, definitely looked like fun!
Thank you so much sweet Caitlin! It definitely was a blast :)
Wow, these are seriously THE BEST shots! Classic Texas at its finest – I’m in love! It’s almost making me wish I spent my 4th of July in Dallas instead of the beach!
And omgoodness, you are totally my favorite newly discovered blog! I definitely did some serious back reading of old posts so keep up the GREAT work, Kate! :)
