Romp. [noun: a lively or boisterous frolic]
A bright, bubbly word perfectly suited to summer. Lively and boisterous was exactly how I felt when I came across this darling romper.I am, well, short. 5’2″ makes for no limit in heel height, unquestioned access to every kids menu, and unprecedented difficulty in finding the perfect fit. Especially in these things. Can I get an amen?
But the classic print, summery shade and whimsy style of it managed to guide my pointer to the “add to cart” button. (Oh, did I mention I also purchased it without even trying it on? Rebel.)
I was delighted, therefore, when it arrived in the mail and it fit. It wasn’t awkward, it wasn’t bunchy, it wasn’t too long. It fit. (Que romping.)
Consistent with the breezy, casual charm of this romper, I paired it with strappy sandals and pearls. I’m looking forward to dressing it up with a flashy gold necklace and bangles.
The romper was perfect for an evening at the lake house – casual, comfortable and fun.
I’m already looking forward wearing it again. What are your thoughts about rompers? Any favorites you’re sporting this summer?
Today’s Recipe
Romper – Tobi, sold out | Shoes – DFW, sold out | Pearl Studs – Cliare’s | Pearl Strand – Nordstrom
This romper is absolutely adorable! I’m 5’0″ so I have the same problem with buying clothes online, so I always get excited when something fits without having to try it on!
