dallas to denver

Happy Friday, friends! I had hinted at a little trip earlier this week, and am giddy excited to tell you that I’m writing from Denver, Colorado after landing late last night! I have been dying to visit one of my best friends from high school, Camille, ever since she moved here. She has such a fun weekend of horseback riding, hiking and eating (most important, if we’re being honest) planned for us. Needless to say, I am so looking forward to time in the great outdoors.

Apparently, the past week or so has been unseasonably warm here in Denver. While I was prepared to bring a polar bear outfit in order to stay warm, I’m not complaining that lighter layers are going to do the trick! (Although I hope I see some snow! #TexasGirl) Below, I put together a few darling pieces that would be perfect for today’s mild temperatures. In love with that red and navy button down, and I’m thinking the navy puffer vest is a must!

Wishing all of you a fun, safe weekend wherever it leads you!

Love from Denver,

Kate

I would love to hear more about your trip! We are visiting Denver at the end of this month and I honestly never really learned how to dress well for the climate differences. I’ll be interested to hear if you think its actually that much colder – a friend of mine grew up there and said its not actually that cold unless you’re in the mountains since its a dry cold. I’d love to hear another Texan’s thoughts on the weather and the city. Have fun!
