All business all the time, y’all. You know that’s true about me. :) Teasing, teasing. I’m usually found in either a fun dress or leggings and house slippers… there really isn’t any in-between. Which is why it’s so fun to switch things up today with this gorgeous pink pearl blazer!
I always admire the effortlessly chic look of women sporting a perfectly-tailored blazer. When styled correctly, it transforms this traditional piece into a cool-yet-classic statement! What I have trouble with, however, is finding a blazer that looks young and fresh instead of dowdy and blah.
H&M knocked it out of the park with this style. The slightly elongated cut and pearl button accents make it worthy of any boss babe’s closet. Oh, and did I mention it’s available in black as well?! Considering adding that one to my cart as well, given how much I’m loving the pink version!
A quick note on tailoring. For us petite gals, it’s important to get the fit just right so a layer like this doesn’t swallow us. I ordered an XS, my usual size in H&M, but probably could have gone with an XXS. I also folded under the sleeves for this shoot, but am taking this off to the tailor to get those shortened!
This afternoon, I’m so excited to head off to Las Vegas for the Magic tradeshow! I’ll be pulling together pieces all day tomorrow for the spring Lonestar Southern x The Impeccable Pig collection, and I can’t wait!

Really nice, love the buttons. H&M is coming out with some upscale preppy wardrobe items! BTW, do you know about Appleseeds? It’s a preppy women’s online source that has been around since the “old” days of catalog shopping, with a similar style as this. I think you could find some great basics there.
