classic pearl diamond wedding earrings

Over the past year, I’ve repeatedly received questions regarding a special pair of pear earrings I wear from time to time. Some of you may recognize these pearl and diamond earrings as the pair I wore on my wedding!

Since I’ve received so much interest in them, I thought I’d put together a post dedicated to these simple-but-beautiful earrings in hopes of helping a future bride-to-be on the hunt for something similar!

“Where are they from?”

Andrew had this delicate pearl and diamond earring made as my wedding gift by a jeweler in Dallas. (The same who created my engagement ring!)

Funnily enough, I had always dreamed of wearing this exact style on my wedding day, but couldn’t for the life of me find an affordable pair during the wedding planning process. In fact, I had ordered a somewhat-similar pair I’d found online for about $30 to wear on the big day. (You’ll see them in my bridal portraits.) My mother must have tipped Andrew off, however, because on the eve of our wedding, he handed me a small box and I couldn’t believe what was inside!

Y’all know that if I’m wearing a pair of earrings, it’s almost always a pair of pearls. I love how this style, a small diamond post with a pearl dropping beneath, elevates the look of the everyday pearl stud earring. They feel so “me,” just a bit more bridal. :) And to this day, I wear them all the time!

“Are there any similar pairs you’d recommend?”

Absolutely! In fact, there are some great options of pieces you can purchase straight-away at a variety of price points!

You may notice that many of these styles are “backward” from mine (not in a bad way at all) with the post attached to the pearl and the diamond hanging below. Both looks are beautiful! Just keep that difference in mind while shopping.

Like I mentioned above, I wear these earrings all the time. Even if you’re not a bride, they really are a stunning touch to any outfit!

Love from the Sunshine State,

Hi Kate! Thanks for sharing this post and the sweet story behind your earrings. I have a similar pair that I received from my grandparents years ago, but was recently given a pair that feature different-sized freshwater pearls. They’re still a statement but the asymmetric design makes them feel a little more casual. Just thought I’d share in case anyone was looking for more inspiration! https://www.tiroirdelou.com/en/products/earrings-mila-gold-plated

Do you mind sharing the name of the jeweler? I’m in the Dallas area and need to have some pieces worked on. Thanks!

Can you please do a “Wedding Wednesday” post on your ring?! Did you pick it out or did Andrew totally surprise you? Would love to know the story behind it :)
