I don’t know how I didn’t already have it written all over my calendar in five different shades of marker and copious dollops of glitter glue, but it looks like this week is turning into the week of sales! Yesterday, Lilly got my dollar by luring me in with a free pair of earrings with any purchase (I settled on this lobster cutie) and now Shopbop is here to coax away my March grocery money. Or to start off March on an ever-so-stylish foot. Listen, the glass is half empty or the glass is half full.

This is one of my favorite sales of the year, and I get super serious about my strategy behind it. My advice? Use it to scoop up your big-purchase, must-have summer goodies. Whether it’s that pair of sandals you know you’ll be in 24/7, mirrored sunnies to accompany your TSwift-blaring road trips, a statement earring to take you from warm nights out with friends to your family Christmas card, or the scalloped swimsuit you’ll be stowing in your suite case off to a tropical getaway, this is the best opportunity to 1. get this season’s newest before the dreaded “out of stock” icon appears and 2. get this season’s newest on sale before the season even begins. I view Shopbop as the younger, trendier online child of Nordstrom and Neimans. The pieces they carry are quality and their sales are few and far between.
