Shorts are hard. Know what I mean? Why is it always so difficult to find a perfect pair? Between the style, length, fit and price, there are so many hoops to jump. Not to mention comfort… that’s a must and a whole other obstacle when it comes to adding a new pair to your closet!
I’m the first to opt for white jeans, a skirt, a maxi, anything else, really, but this pair changed all that this summer! I’ll confess, it was the color alone that made me take them to the fitting room. Pink linen shorts?! I mean… you at least have to give that a shot! And as it turns out, that’s not the only thing they have going for them. I wanted to buy three different colors right then and there! (Because gingham, y’all.)
I love the look and fit of these… enough room to be relaxed and comfortable, but also quite feminine with the length and detailing! (Did you notice the little drawstring bow on the side?) I had too much fun layering my favorite pink pieces with them (hello pom pom top and tassel earrings) but love how they look with a relaxed white tee for errands around town.
This type of easy ensemble is exactly what I’ll be wearing to kick the week off in. After a wonderful weekend celebrating mother’s day with two aunts, an uncle, my parents and sister (who’s finally back from college) it’s time to get back into the swing of things! The cowboy gets back to the states from a trip he took with college friends to Switzerland at 8pm, and I’m dying to hear all of his stories. He always has the best ones from his adventures!
