Let’s jump right into this week’s roundup of the cutest new arrivals to hit the web this week! I’m certainly on a pink kick as of late (when am I not though…) and found so many fun pieces in that hue this week.

Happy, happy Friday friends! I don’t know about you but this week has been a long one… I have felt so drained and energy-less every day. Needless to say, I’m thrilled the weekend is finally here. Let’s jump right into this week’s roundup of the cutest new arrivals to hit the web this week!

I’m certainly on a pink kick as of late (when am I not though…) and found so many fun pieces in that hue this week. Let’s talk about those bow sandals, shall we? Could they be more perfect?

I’m also loving the little gift ideas I’ve found for Valentine’s day. How about this cute sunglasses case that says “shine bright” for just $9? Or these darling heart socks?! And if you’re hosting a party for VDay, be sure you include these too-cute balloons in your decor.

Speaking of Valentine’s day, don’t forget that I wore this scalloped dress from Modcloth in this post. It would be perfect for the occasion!

Circling back to what I said earlier about being tired… I’m starting to think it’s an iron deficiency. I’ve just never, ever felt this way before! That being said, do any of you take iron supplements? I’d love to hear any insight you have! Trying to get this all sorted out so I’m back to being 100% in no time.

I adore y’all, and am wishing you the best weekend ever! My sister is coming into town to celebrate her birthday today, so I couldn’t be happier. See y’all back around here on Monday!

Love from Texas,

Kate

my favorite white sweater

I’m going to be honest… I’ve never really loved sweaters, y’all. Since I’m drawn to bright colors and flattering, feminine silhouettes, the same colors and shapes that sweaters always seem to come in bore me pretty quickly.

I’m going to be honest… I’ve never really loved sweaters, y’all. Since I’m drawn to bright colors and flattering, feminine silhouettes, the same colors and shapes that sweaters always seem to come in bore me pretty quickly.

That’s why during the cold, winter months when sweaters are my best (and most practical) option, I’m always on the lookout for those pieces that are a little different. Whether it’s the cut, the texture or the hue, little details that differentiate are my favorite.

So when I stumbled across this gorgeous top, I added it to my cart right away! Even though it’s incredibly roomy (and therefore incredibly cozy) this sweater manages to also be flattering. From the mock neck to the way it lays across the shoulders to the flared sleeves, it has a polished-yet-effortless feel to it that automatically catches your eye.

I also love it’s versatility! I cringe at the thought of paying more than $50 for a top, but if it’s a beautiful, classic piece I’ll get tons of wear out of, that makes all the difference. This sweater arrived at my doorstep last week, and I’ve already worn it to dinner with friends, to church, and for a day of errands!

Safe to say, it’s one of my favorite purchases of the new year. I’m wearing a size XS, and you can find it here and here!

Love from Texas,

Kate

red crochet ruffle dress

It’s no secret around here that when it comes to a red dress… I’m pretty powerless. I’m thoroughly convinced the color looks incredible on everyone, plus there’s just something fun about wearing something so bold! When I came across this red crochet ruffle dress, it was love at first site.

It’s no secret around here that when it comes to a red dress… I’m pretty powerless. I’m thoroughly convinced the color looks incredible on everyone, plus there’s just something fun about wearing something so bold! When I came across this red crochet ruffle dress, it was love at first site.

This dress is one of those rare finds that combines a gorgeous color, unique cut and do-able price point all in one. That’s the real triple threat in my opinion!

I love the gorgeous crochet detailing – it adds such a unique flair to this sassy piece. I’ll be the first to admit I don’t wear a ton of cutouts, but I found these small inserts on the side to be tastefully done.

Finally, can we talk about the fit?! It narrows and flares in all the right places, and is genuinely fun to wear. I found it in stock in all sizes in two places… here and here. Hurry, hurry because I think this baby is going to sell out quick!

Love from Texas,

Kate

latest & greatest vol. 46

Not only was it a great week for productivity, it was a fabulous week for new arrivals as well! I asked on my Insta Story (follow me @LonestarSouthern) whether y’all would want to see spring or winter inspiration, and the majority voted for spring. I promise I’ll keep posting winter-ready looks on the blog, but every so often it’s fun to dream about what’s ahead, right?

First week moved into my new apartment, and let me tell y’all… it’s been amazing! I’ve been able to be so much more productive and the ability to separate work and “normal life” has been the best thing for my mood/sanity/well-being. ;) I’m finalizing the decor for a couple of spaces and then can’t wait to show y’all the whole thing!

Everything on this collage is calling my name (what’s new) but I wanted to point out three things I just purchased myself and absolutely love!

First up? This darling monogrammed stationary. I had the best experience ordering it from this Etsy shop, and am so excited to get them in the mail soon! I’ll share pics with y’all when they arrive.

A tried and true favorite of mine? This pink O Ring. They are such a thing here in Dallas, and after hearing so many friends rave about theirs, I finally bit the bullet and bought my own. They’re a bit pricey, so I put it off! I can safely say, though, that they are worth it. I bought my mama one for Christmas and she still talks about how much she loves it!

Finally… drumroll, please! After thinking about it for three years (not kidding) I finally pulled the trigger on these Jimmy Choo wedges! EEK! They are way too expensive, but I’ve been wanting a pair of flattering, wear-with-anything wedges and since these are so timeless, well-made and comfortable, I finally rounded up some Christmas money and made them mine. You’ll be seeing them a lot this spring and summer, and I’ll keep my eyes out for dupes!

After finishing up some work, I’m headed off for a ranch weekend! Whatever you’re up to, I hope you have the best time and that I get to see you back here on Monday morning!

Love from Texas,

Kate

P.S. Don’t forget about the giveaway for a $200 gift card to Lauren James I’m hosting on my Instagram! You’ll find all the instructions and details here.
