I adore the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale as much as anyone else (and praise hands that it opens to everyone on Friday morning!) but there’s something so… sweaty… about buying winter pieces in the middle of a Texas summer, ya feel? ;)

That’s why this year, I was on the lookout not only for winter coats and cozy sweaters but for tops I could start wearing now and continue styling into the late southern fall!

Let me just say, there are some fabulous transitional tops in the mix of this year’s sale selection. You’ll find two that I’ve been wearing non-stop this past week below, as well as a few I’ve had my eye on at the end of this post!

There is something effortless, casual and perfectly classic about this sweet blue top. I picked it up because it’s one you can style with jean cutoff shorts and sandals or white jeans and wedges now, and transition into fall with dark-wash denim and flats or boots! (Don’t get me started on how cute this would look with cowboy boots!)

This is also a piece that looks great on every age, whether you’re in high school or have highschoolers yourself!

Let me go ahead and advise you to bookmark this top… it’s sold out in a few sizes now, but there’s a high chance it is fully restocked on Friday morning! This is a perfect every-day tee, that looks great paired with high-waisted shorts and skirts now, and will look oh-so-chic with dark jeans and riding boots this fall.

It comes in 6 color options, and I’m planning on purchasing the red and navy on Friday! This is another top that works amazingly on every age group!
