You’re looking at a girl who will automatically pick any and every color option over black. (The rare exception being formal dresses, of course… gotta love a #LBD.) While I live for bringing color, and lots of it, into outfits of any occasion, there’s something about the chic, sophisticated look of darker tones and, dare I say it, black, that I adore.

So meet my latest obsession and new best friend, navy.

This little ensemble consists of a deep navy top (which looks so expensive and so isn’t) and jet navy denim. To say I’m obsessed would be an understatement… You see, the all-navy ensemble gives off the same, polished look that black does, but in a much warmer (and slightly more colorful) manner. The best part? Navy looks incredible with both tan and black leather accessories, so you don’t have to worry about black and brown clashing!

Quick little tip – be sure to stick to true, deep navy if you want to avoid the Canadian tuxedo look!
