I used to get a kick out of the “As far as I’m concerned, leopard is a neutral” quote trend. Really? A Neutral? I admired the girls that made that a reality, but felt safer with a subtle punch of it here and there. A cute clutch or pair of pumps were as far as I was brave enough to take it – a fun, classic statement, but nothing more. Then I saw this full on, no-subtlety-about-it leopard dress at Zara. And the best part was it wasn’t a fancy cocktail dress. It was a cute, casual cotton number with a perfect feminine silhouette, so of course I made it mine! I couldn’t locate it online (dang Zara) but it was a recent purchase, and only $25.00 at that, so I bet you’d be able to still find it in stores. And you know my penchant for matching leather color… my Ivanka Trump boots, Michael Kors crossbody, Daniel Wellington watch and J.Crew belt coordinated perfectly to make the look every day appropriate. You’ve got a new believer, leopard!

On another note, my apologies for the lack of posts this week! I took a leap of faith and sent my laptop in for repairs last week (after putting it off for farrr too long) and still haven’t received it back. Ugh. So I’m currently that girl sitting in the university computer lab on the second day of classes. How’s that for a great start to the spring semester? (#nerd) Computer troubles aside, this week has been a super hard one. What’s amazed me most, though, is how present and real the Lord’s promises have become to me during this time. While I hate that oftentimes it’s only through a difficult time that you’re able to really grasp his goodness, I’m finding that this time of dependence on him has lead to “a peace that passes all understanding.” (Philippians 4: 6-7) For that I am grateful. If you’re in the middle of something difficult, or could simply use an end of the week pick me up, know that you’re not alone and take some time to be encouraged by 1 Corinthians 2:9. Googling pictures of baby animals doesn’t hurt, either. :)

Love from Texas,

Kate

P.S. Have you seen the new Kendra Scott collection that was released yesterday? I’m drooling over the new pastel shades and am dying to make this pair mine!

I love how you styled this dress, Kate! And you look gorgeous like always. I’m so sorry to hear that you are having a difficult week, but the fact that you are still encouraging and supporting others with your words and verse recommendtions even when you are down shows what an amazing gal you are.
