Welcome to Friday, friends. I know this week has been a weird one, and I’m praying you are feeling at peace right now in the midst of lots of unknowns. Big (virtual) hugs from over here!
I’ve been doing a fair share of reading on the current state of things, and between that and the constant (and, let me emphasize, justifiable) coverage of things going on, have found myself feeling a bit overwhelmed. You?
That’s why I’ve decided to keep things rolling on as usual here on Lonestar Southern. When you reach for your phone, I want you to know you can find a bit of positivity, color and, well, normalcy here. It’s not to downplay the severity of what’s going on, but rather, to hopefully provide a teeny bit of distance from it all when you’re needing a mental break.

One item I’m especially excited to point out is this beautiful, customized Papier journal! Earlier this week, I shared a bit about my habit of prayer journaling and my search for an affordable, beautiful, personalized option. (I’ve had the hardest time finding a brand that provides all three!)
Y’all came through in a big way with the brand Papier! I haven’t had the chance to order one for myself yet, but between the $20ish price tag, the extensive (and adorable!) color/pattern options and the ability to customize them, I think I may have found my new favorite journal! Thank y’all so much for the amazing recommendation.
As I sign off for the week, I wanted to take another second to wish you well from over here in Gainesville, Florida. And leaving you with a verse that has encouraged me this week! I’m reciting it to myself over and over again, and am so so thankful that there is One who is ultimately in control.
