Friends! Good morning from Nantucket! Did I just say that? I’m sitting in bed at the cutest room I’ve ever seen at The Roberts Collection, and can’t believe I’m really here. And with Southern Tide, a brand that’s been a part of my life for years, no less! Someone pinch me! (For quite the throwback, see this post I did on my dad wearing Southern tide a few years back.)

Before setting off this morning on a full day of festivities, I thought I’d check in and give y’all a brief recap on my first night in Nantucket. Don’t worry. I’ll be posting much more about this gorgeous town, but wanted to give you a taste for the wonderful evening we had first!

After “freshening up” from a long day of travel (i.e. running around my room like a madwoman trying to get ready on time #stressful) I joined the Southern Tide team, along with friends from OCEARCH and Shift at a welcome party at Cisco Brewers. We all gathered to celebrate the partnership kickoff between Southern Tide and OCEARCH, a recognized world leader in generating critical scientific data related to tracking and biological studies of keystone marine species such as great white sand tiger sharks. (How’s that for an impressive one-liner?) And let me tell y’all… I couldn’t have imagined a better place for a party!

Between the frozen rosé, fresh oysters, lobster rolls and friend shrimp, not to mention locals (and their dogs!) milling about and enjoying the cool evening, it was an unbelievable introduction to the gorgeous town, taste and culture of Nantucket. We had the opportunity to hear from Southern Tide CEO Chris Heyn and OCEARCH Founding Chariman Chris Fischer about their excitement surrounding the partnership, and it’s clear the match is a perfect one.

It’s safe to say if the evening was any indication of the of the weekend, this trip is going to be one for the books! And as always, I can’t wait to take you along with me!

Time to sign off… the team just dropped by coffee and the cutest breakfast box, so it’s time to get ready for our sailing expedition!

Love from Nantucket,

Kate

Hey! I love the top you paired with the suede skirt. So cute! Would you say the skirt runs big (since you are exchanging for a smaller size)?

    Thanks :)
