TOP relaxed button tunic (wearing size small) | JEANS white cropped kick-flare jeans (true to size, wearing 0) | BAG mini straw tote with pom poms | SHOES nude espadrilles (run small, I recommend at least a half size up) | EARRINGS rattan earrings (sold out, similar here) | SUNGLASSES aviator sunglasses (sold out in grey, other colors available)

It has been an absolutely gorgeous week in Gainesville, friends. With the sunny skies and the longer evenings (yay for extra sunshine!) it feels like spring is officially here! I have a feeling that will quickly progress to full-on summer with the arrival of humidity here pretty soon, so I’m doing my best to soak up this seemingly perfect weather.

It’s so fun to finally break into spring pieces again without feeling like a total fraud (there’s something about gym shorts in the middle of January that just doesn’t sit right, no matter how hot it gets here in Florida) and I’ve found a few neutral (and affordable!) staples I’ll be wearing all season long from Walmart. Excited to this neutral spring outfit with you today!

Let’s start off with this perfect easy blouse. It’s what I call a “throw and go”… add it on top of your favorite pair of jeans/shorts and a pair of sandals, and you’re set! The material is beautiful, and I love the classic, relaxed fit. Did I mention it comes in seven colors (I also have the white) and is just $15?! I told my mom and sister about it earlier this week and now they both own a few!

Next up: a pair of jeans you don’t want, you need. I love all of the fresh jean silhouettes this season but have had trouble finding styles that are flattering on my frame. (I have shorttt legs, FYI.) This white kick-flare pair has been my first find, and I’m obsessed. They’re not only incredibly flattering on, they’re also so comfortable! And a fun tip… since I’m 5’2″ I used a pair of scissors to trim them to the correct length on me. Over time, they’ll fray at the ends and look even cuter.

And who doesn’t love a straw bag? This petite style is under $50, and fits all the essentials. Sunnies, iPhone, lipgloss, etc. Love the crossbody strap!

I have a feeling I’ll be mixing and matching these pieces throughout the coming months. Gotta love easy spring neutrals… they go with everything!

Love from the Sunshine State,

Kate
