Contrast

So remember that one time I told you all that I was so in love with a certain little clutch that I was going to post two outfits inspired by it? Well, I wasn’t kidding. Today I’m so excited to show the second look I created around my Caroline clutch by Grateful Bags. (Y’all are going to need to calm me down if I promise a third look by the end of this post. It could happen.)
gwkinnyAs I mentioned in my earlier post, I love the edge that the black leather and circle monogram give the clutch. I decided to play that up with a pair of fun black leather wedges, while adding a touch of sweet with this bold lace sundress.

gratefulwhite7The combination makes for eye-catching contrast that gives the “preppy monogram look” (of which I’m a huge fan of) a run for it’s money.

Edgy typically isn’t my style, but I love the unexpected factor it gives this look. An added bonus? Both the shoes and the dress are SO comfortable. Which means I’m sure to wear this out before the summer is over. But hey, what else are you to do with a great outfit?

On another note, I’m headed back to Dallas today to celebrate Easter with my family. It’s one of my very favorite holidays, and I can’t wait to celebrate the joy in knowing that He is risen (praise!) with more candy and friend chicken than I consume in one year. And that is saying a LOT. I’ll be wearing this dress with pastel accessories for the festivities. Thank goodness it’s roomy!

Wishing you a wonderful weekend, and best of luck to all you still young at heart enough to compete in easter egg hunts. I sure will be! And have yet to lose against my younger sister. ;)

Love from Texas,

Kate

Cute dress! Where did you get your shoes? The link wouldn’t appear in my browser. I love the black wedge, and I have been searching for a new pair.
