During my visit to Washington, D.C. a couple of weeks ago, I had the chance of visiting the Tuckernuck storefront! This store has been one of my favorite online destinations for a couple of years now (think classic, cute pieces at all price points) so getting the chance to see it in person was a dream come true. Not only was the store impeccably decorated and laid out, the Tuckernuck girls I got to meet were just as lovely!

While we were chatting, we winded up talking about the classic “Georgetown” look that I’ve loved for so long. The key piece the ladies filled me in on? The Barbour Beadnell jacket.

This timeless piece is one I’ve admired from afar, but have never had the chance to try on in person. It’s so hard to hunt them down in Texas! Luckily, they had a great selection in stock and I got to find the perfect fit! (I’m in a size 2.)

Then, the girls helped me layer up in classic pieces that are a staple in every north-easterners wardrobe. A cozy, simple sweater, a wear-with-anything pair of jeans, and viola! You’ve got an effortlessly elegant look to take you through all of your busy autumn days.

This Barbour jacket is an investment, but one I know I’ll own for years. I can’t wait to debut it this season and wear it in over the coming years!
