25 cute mothers day gift ideas

Celebrations might look a bit different this year, but Mother’s Day is not canceled. In fact, of all the holidays, I can’t think of a better one to spend cozied up at home. Mark those calendars… May 10th will be here before you know it!

Andrew and I are heartsick we can’t spend the day with our mamas in person, but there’s nothing like a thoughtful gift to send a bit of long-distance love. That’s why I’ve rounded up a collection of lovely gifts for the mama or mothers (plural) in your life. You’ll find a variety of price points included in the roundup below, but each piece would make a perfect present for your lady of the hour!

This season especially, I wanted to be purposeful in including a variety of amazing small businesses. Instead of clicking directly on an image to shop, note the number of whatever piece interests you and scroll below for the link and more details!

A quick note… shipping times are taking longer than usual, so I’d recommend ordering your Mother’s Day gift as soon as possible to ensure on-time delivery! It’s always a good idea to check with customer service if you’re unsure about production/shipping time.

With all that being said, let’s dive in!

the details

ONE // I have been hearing about Weezie for about a year now, and recently saw the new release of these short-sleeved robes! Lots of fabulous color options and, best yet, monogram combinations. A bit of luxury never hurt anybody!

TWO // I designed these Lisi Lerch earrings for my bridesmaids, and gifted a pair to my mother and mother-in-law as well! My mom loves them because they make a versatile, wearable statement without being too huge. Plus, they’re extremely lightweight and comfortable!

THREE // Without a doubt, Framebridge is the easiest and most seamless service I’ve found for beautiful framed photos! Upload an Instagram photo (one from your phone/computer), choose a frame, and have it shipped to the recipient. This is one gift that is wonderfully personal and always delights.

FOUR // Here’s an idea. Gift your mama with a fun, relaxing new hobby! I picked up needle pointing at the beginning of this social distancing season, and have absolutely loved it. It’s easy to learn (this video series helped me) and the canvas options are endless. Be sure to order not only the canvas but the threads and needles as well. Most retailers will offer to “kit” a canvas for you, which will include all the necessary supplies!

FIVE, SIX, SEVEN // A new small business you need to know about? Honey + Hank! Picture this: an array of gorgeous prints made out of tiny state silhouettes. That’s right… cactus plants made out of tiny Texases, rainbow trout made out of small North Carolinas… so many creative and adorable ways to show some state pride in a subtle, chic way! I own this pillow and want to decorate my whole house in it.

EIGHT // Personalized styrofoam cups are always a crowd pleaser, but Emily McCarthy takes it to the next level! I can promise you’ve never seen such a fabulous array of exquisite monograms, from ginger jars to giraffes and everything in between!

NINE // I’ve talked about these pajama pants before, and it won’t be the last time. Trust me when I say these are the best pajama pants on the market for their price point. Ultra luxurious, super silky, and extra easy to care for. Trust me… she’ll love these!

TEN // The ultimate gift for every coffee-lover, this Ember Mug keeps your joe hot at whatever specific temperature you desire! I splurged and bought one during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale last year, and it’s become one of my very favorite things. Say goodbye to stale, re-heated caffeine and hello to your new favorite kitchen item!

ELEVEN // You simply can’t go wrong with a fabulous tote. This style by Leatherology comes with a hand-painted monogram option in a variety of beautiful hues. Take 20% off with the code LOVEMOM through May 1st!

TWELVE // Not only is this my favorite lip color of all time (those of you who have followed me for a while know I talk about the shade “Merry Rose” constantly), but there’s something fun about gifting/receiving Chanel… even when it’s under $50!

THIRTEEN // Hostess with the mostess on your hands? Odds are she definitely needs this monogrammed margarita set.

FOURTEEN // Sunscreen is a girl’s best friend, and over the past few weeks I’ve fallen in love with this stuff. In the past, I’ve avoided any sort of facial SPF because, oh let me think, the greasy, goopy, nasty feel of it. This TULA facial sunscreen looks, smells, and feels like a fabulous moisturizer and gives you a dewy glow. You can use my code LONESTAR for 15% off!

FIFTEEN // After tearing through a small sample of this facial cleansing cream, I have been dying to get my hands on a full tube! Everything about it is magic… the texture, the scent, the refresh feeling it gives your skin. It’s a pretty penny for sure and would make a luxurious gift for the skincare guru in your life.

SIXTEEN // At $49, this monogrammed jewelry holder makes a gorgeous, personalized gift any lady would feel spoiled by. Here’s to looking ahead at the many trips we’ll hopefully be packing up for soon!

SEVENTEEN // Another small business I’m excited to introduce you to is India Amory. Her beautiful entertaining and lifestyle pieces bring a perfect mix of color and effortless elegance into the home. This beautiful pareo is under $100, and works as a pool-side coverup or evening wrap.

EIGHTEEN // Caitlin Wilson is not only a fabulous interiors designer, but she’s also even more lovely in person! I loved stopping into her showroom when I lived in Dallas, which is so beautiful I wish I could move into it. She has an eye for perfect details, and these scalloped tea towels are just one example!

NINETEEN // Seafoam green and freshwater pearls… have you ever seen a lovelier combination? Taylor, the founder of Hazen & Co., is an incredible designer with flawless taste and a knack for hosting and bringing people together. Any of her beautiful pieces are sure to bring a smile to the face!

TWENTY // There’s nothing like seeing the beautiful hand-embroidery of a Mi Golondrina piece in person! Choose a blouse or dress in your mama’s favorite colors for a timeless gift she’ll treasure forever. If the price tag feels a bit high (each piece is hand embroidered) consider splitting it with a sibling! This Dallas-based brand is one of my absolute favorites. (I actually got engaged in a Mi Golondrina blouse!)

TWENTY ONE // This cookbook don’t quit! Seriously though… I have made countless recipes from The Defined Dish blog for years now. The cookbook author Alex released at the beginning of the year lives up to all the hype! Let me tell you, the recipes never disappoint. I bought a copy for my mom, who instilled in me a love for cooking, and she’s obsessed as well! Tons of healthy, delicious ideas.

TWENTY TWO // This darling monogrammed canvas tote is a perfect accompaniment to the pool, the farmers market, the road trip destination, and beyond. At $41, it’s an affordable option that packs a (colorful) punch!

TWENTY THREE // Gifts that simplify life are always a safe bet. This darling pink case wirelessly recharges your phone on the go. Perfect for the mama who’s always on the move!

TWENTY FOUR // There’s nothing like an elegant sunhat to channel the Nancy Meyers movie we all wished we were living in. This classic style comes in a variety of ribbon colors and also has a monogram option!

TWENTY FIVE // Got a mom who has everything? Here’s one thing she probably doesn’t have: a personalized sunglass holder for the pair of stunner shades she undoubtedly keeps in the roof compartment of her car and is always losing track of. This fun gift idea is under $100 and comes in an endless array of color options!

I have to say, I’m pretty proud of this roundup! No gift can ever do complete justice when it comes to mama, but I think these twenty-five ideas at least come close. I hope they gave you a bit of inspiration in preparation for this special day! Don’t mind me as I casually send this post to Andrew and Flynn… :)

Love from the Sunshine State,

Kate
