Good morning from many, many thousands of feet above, y’all! I have been so busy lately that I haven’t mentioned this much… but I am currently in-flight to San Fransisco, California!
One of my best friends since childhood is getting married this weekend in Carmel, and I am lucky enough to be a bridesmaid. The girls are flying in today for a pre=bachelorette party before the festivities commence! I have only been to California once, and it was over five years ago, so needless to say I am excited!
One of the many things I’m looking forward to about this trip is the weather. I’m finally going to get a break from the Texas heat, and I plan on taking full advantage of it! In true procrastinator-preparation last night, I did something I rarely do anymore… I took a trip to the mall! (I’ve become such an online shopper the hassle of the mall never seems worth it anymore, haha!)
I had so much fun trying on styles I wouldn’t normally go for… and I don’t know if it’s the Cali vibes I’m already feeling or my obsession with Mamma Mia, but I wound up in the most fun, crazy pair of jeans I’ve ever tried on.
And. I. Love. Them.
I’ve always been a fan of flares, really because I find them so fun and so flattering. This pair takes all of those qualities to another level! The fit is so elongating (I love that the flare starts right at the top of the knee instead of halfway through it) and they are mega comfortable. Plus, they’re under $100 and come in lots of different colors!
I picked up a few more items, like this chic white blouse and these heeled sandals I’m so excited for. Plus, check out this suede clutch I snagged for right under $50. It’s the perfect fall accessory, and I’m wanting it in pink and black, too!
I plan on sharing lots of pics from this weekend, so be sure to follow along on Instagram. Perhaps I’ll even do a “What I Wore This Weekend” post if y’all want to see it? Let me know in the comments below!
Wishing everyone a fabulous Thursday. The weekend starts for me right now… cheers!
Love from somewhere above the mid-west,
