Today, we’re taking things back to the salty air and sandy floors of Seaside, Florida. Sigh. What a week. It’s been two weeks since I returned, and I’m debating whether or not it’s too early to start planning a return trip.
This was my very favorite dress that I packed for my family’s beach vacation. Doesn’t it just look like a dream? I love the placement of the ruffles, and how the fullness and femininity of those details is contrasted by a sweet little sash. (No better way to accentuate your waist!)
It is so light and airy, which is the ultimate blessing when it comes to the humid air that seems to permeate the gulf. Not to mention… the color! The subtle striping makes for the loveliest, pale shade of blue. If there’s one thing I’ve learned over the course of many summers spent at the beach, it’s that nothing looks so lovely there as dressing in blues and whites!
Now that summer is drawing to a close, I can’t help but think how cute this would be at tailgates for all of you UNC girls! In the meantime, I’ll be squeezing every wear out of it that I can during these final few sunny months!
Love from Texas,
P.S. If you missed it, you’ll catch another gorgeous summer frock I wore in Seaside here!
