new orleans packing list

Today is the day, y’all. This morning, I’m hopping on a plane to New Orleans for a fun getaway with some close high school friends! The very first thing I plan to do is head straight for Cafe Du Monde. It’s been over four years (not that I’ve been counting…) since I’ve had their famous beignets and chicory coffee, and I can’t wait to get my finally fill!

We’ve planned out a weekend of eating, sight-seeing, and my personal favorite, the Haunted History tour. I went as a senior in high school and still remember some of the scary stories and sights we saw. So fun! I definitely recommend if you’re headed to the city soon.

After thinking through my packing list last night (thanks to the help of quite a few group texts with the girls to ensure we are all on the same page) I decided to round up a variation of what I’ll be wearing into the city for sightseeing today! Below, you’ll find the navy version of the cargo jacket I wore earlier this week. I’ll definitely be keeping comfy in converse sneakers, and wouldn’t be caught dead without a portable phone charger! Too many pictures to take, am I right? (I’m grimacing as I reread that last sentence.)

  10. I went to college and grad school in NOLA and it holds a very special place in my heart! I go back at least once a year and it never disappoints! Enjoy, try some of the restaurants uptown to get away from the touristy FQ! Also it’s Carnevale so you should definitely check out some parades this weekend! Enjoy!
