If you’ve been around Lonestar Southern this winter, you may have noticed a surprising lack of blanket scarves in my outfit posts. Truth be told, they’ve always intimidated me. For the longest time I loved the look on others, but couldn’t figure out how I could make such a huge piece of material work on my short self! (5’2″ y’all…)
I eyed this gorgeous blush and tan beauty during Christmas time, and after a few weeks of playing with the idea of overcoming my blanket scarf phobia, finally took the plunge. Boy am I SO happy I did! Turns out it’s the easiest thing in the world to style, and is the perfect piece to step up your comfy “tee and jeans” combo. “Duh Kate, you’re a little late to the game on this one.” I know that’s what you just thought. Don’t lie.
SCARF blush blanket scarf | TOP high low tee (wearing size S, just $34!) | BAG reversible tote bag | SHOES pink bow flats | EARRINGS julie vos hoop earrings (wearing size XL) | JEANS j.crew toothpick jeans | BRACELET gold wrap bracelet | BRACELET gold cross bracelet | WATCH michael kors watch
I couldn’t love this one more, as it’s not too stereotypically “fallish” or “wintery.” The colors are incredible in person… warm enough for winter ensembles, and light enough to be worn into spring as well! I paired it with this easy, flowy tshirt which I am in love with for an everyday, around town look. The tee fits oversized (wearing a size S) and is long enough to be worn with leggings, plus it looks like an Anthropologie tee but is a steal at $34! A definite must-have in my opinion.
Before I sign off and head into this new week ahead, I wanted to make sure y’all know about the giveaway I’m hosting for this darling Mini Sophia bag by Rebecca Minkoff! It’s selling out everywhere (including Nordstrom) so I wanted to give y’all the chance to get your hands on one for this spring and summer! Click HERE for all the details on entering…
Have a great Monday, everyone! Thanks for making me a part of your week. :)
