my favorite restaurants on 30a

My family and I have been visiting Seaside, Florida every summer for over 15 years. Needless to say, we do a lot of eating while we’re there! :) Over the years, we’ve fine-tuned our dining schedule to a few tried-and-true favorites. Today, I’m so excited to share with you our favorite restaurants along 30a!

I also thought I’d mention that you won’t find the super-popular spots (Bud & Alleys, Great Southern, Pizza Bar, etc.) on this list. While those are great, we’ve enjoyed these spots even more! Let me just say… we are super picky when it comes to restaurants and have come up with this list after years and years of visiting 30a. So, if you’re looking for something new to add to your list of 30a restaurants, read on below.

Basmati’s // This Asian fusion spot is one we’ve visited every summer for as long as I can remember. My tips? Reserve a table on the porch (it’s screened and so lovely even in the summer) and be sure to order the firecracker grouper! The fried rice is delicious as well, but really… every single thing on the menu is divine.

George’s // Kicking off the trip with our first night at this beautiful restaurant has become my family’s favorite tradition. Located in Alys Beach, it has a wonderful ambiance and a delicious, southern menu. George’s doesn’t take reservations, so put your name on the list then head to the roof for a glass of wine and a sunset view while you wait! P.S. Scroll to the end of this post for the photo I took at George’s rooftop!

The Bay // This year was my first time dining at The Bay, and it was perhaps my favorite experience of the week! It was recommended to me as a local favorite, and upon arriving it was immediately evident as to why. The beautiful restaurant is located right on the bay, with a massive screened-in porch that steps down to an area decorated with a fire pit, torches and seating. We went on a Wednesday night, which apparently is the night a band plays outside. The ambiance is energetic, laid-back and fine and the menu is to die for. Great for larger parties, as well!

Angelina’s // While most of the restaurants we love along 30a have a posh, dress-up vibe, Angelina’s is the opposite.. in the best way! This cozy, laid-back spot is the best for lazy evenings you don’t want to get all dolled up for. My family and I throw on shorts and t-shirts after a day at the beach for some of the yummiest pizza (and delicious Cesar salad) I’ve ever had. Their pastas are amazing, too!

Cafe 30A // Any Seaside or Watercolor frequenter will tell you that Cafe 30A is a must during your beach vacation. We save this spot for our final dinner of the evening. This is the spot to make reservations and dress up for. We love it year after year!

Old Florida Fish House // I have two words for you… crab. claws. They are the reason we come to this casual spot! We order the fried and the sauteed crab claws to start, and every time we leave we tell ourselves we’ll order them for our entrees next time. ;) The rest of the menu is good, but the crab claws are truly to die for.

Seagrove Market // Seagrove Market is a casual favorite of ours, and we’ve eaten both lunch and dinner here! All of the fried fish and veggies are amazing, and we love the laid-back atmosphere. Be prepared to wait, as everyone loves this spot!

Black Bear Bread Company // Let me start off by saying that my family doesn’t really do breakfast or lunch out when we’re in Seaside… we spend all that time at the beach! But, I did have the chance to meet two friends at Black Bear for the first time this past week, and oh my word, y’all. Amazing! The coffee is divine, the pastries are divine, I didn’t order a hot dish but everything that came out of the kitchen looked divine. Already dying to go back here next year!

Well friends, there you have it! Like I said, we’ve curated this list over the years and think the spots above are truly the best on 30a! But I know there are so many places, so let me know what your favorites are!

P.S. I have SUCH a fun announcement for y’all. Today only you can get 20% off of the entire Jay Godfrey site with the code “JGKATE20“. I wore this Jay Godfrey romper to dinner at George’s, and absolutely love it. Check out the other gorgeous pieces here!

Love from Texas,

Kate

Harbor Docks and Camille’s are great restaurants both in Destin :) I used to work for their sister restaurant in Tuscaloosa, AL. The food is incredible and the owners are amazing people!

We enjoy Seaside as well. Can’t wait to try some of your recommendations, specifically, Georges. Can you recommend a particular home to rent in Seaside?

In fact, any celebration we have, it has been at Cafe 30A. Sadly, we had to move back to Texas so we miss it dearly!! Geometry dash lite is a lite version of the full Geometry Dash game, which was released in 2013.
